Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah meme inspires Nagpur Police

It has become imperative to wear a face mask while going out to contain the spread of the novel coronavirus, Inspired by Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah meme

On Tuesday, Nagpur police took to Twitter to urge people to wear face masks while they were going out. The police department, however, delivered this vital message in a very funny way. For the same they took Jethalal Gada ‘s support from popular sitcom Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. Yeah, you heard that right.

Nagpur Police shared a photo of Jethalal (played by actor Dilip Joshi) sitting at his Gada Electronics electronics store. He is seen in the photo still wearing a face mask. The police department posted the picture through a dialog in Jethalal-style. “Pehenne mei kuch tapleek hai aapko mask?”

If you’ve been watching the show, you ‘d know Jethalal pronounces the word takleef (trouble) as tapleek.

In the face of the ongoing coronavirus epidemic, Nagpur Police communicated that this is not what people had to do.

In addition, they urged people to continue complying with the stay-at-home orders to save lives and curb the virus’ cluster spread.

In the meme’s caption, Nagpur Police wrote that when a single person can make the essential shopping per household, Don’t be to your mates the Majnu.

It’s a good way to be aware of people around covid-19 and in amusing ways the police have tested other different approaches for knowledge.

The department shared yet another post a few days ago to raise awareness of the value of wearing a mask. They gave a twist to a scene from the movie Kuch Kuch Hota Hai to bring forth the essential message in that post.
